Jon Perrin is a in-demand Mental Health speaker. Jon shares his life story with mental health and trauma. From being sexually abused as a child, to playing junior hockey as a 15 year old who was initiated and hazed, to becoming a Police Officer diagnosed with PTSD after locating the bodies of 2 missing young people, within a 2 month period, who had both died by suicide.
Jon provides an hour long speaking engagement focused on mental health, overcoming trauma, and how recovery is possible. His story will provide hope and inspiration to anyone living with or supporting a person with mental health issues.
Jon was selected as the 2021 Naresh James Champion of Mental Health Award winner by the Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge, Canadian Mental Health Association. This award recognizes an individual who has championed critical challenges, pioneered initiatives, and acheived lasting impact in support of those who live with mental health issues; along with friends and family. This individual has demonstrated commitment to support people who live with mental health challenges through their leadership, advocacy, and perserverance.
Jon was also selected as the 2021 Citizen of the Year Award winner by the Lindsay & District Chamber of Commerce, for all of his mental health work in the community.
In person or virtual speaking engagements on zoom are available.
All proceeds go to the Twisted Trauma Foundation and are used to support mental health programs and initiatives.
